Optimisation of Warehouse Systems

Our experience, Your profits

Optimisation of Warehouse Processes concerns activities connected with receiving, storing, order fullfillment and shipping of goods in magazines of all types. It allows to find and eliminate so called bottlenecks, to define the needed size of dedicated warehouse system zones (among these the size of buffers at the entrance and exit of the warehouse, the logistic centre, shipping terminal or other objects of logistic infrastructure), to define the demands of the technology used in each of the warehouse processes and the required warehouse infrastructure.  It might be also used while designing a new warehouse to define empirically the borderline capacities of the warehouse still before the project acceptance. This makes it possible to define the essential technical stock for servicing and the optimal mechanization and automatization level of warehouse processes.

The optimisation of warehouse processes is applied in each distribution enterprise which demands the use of all or chosen warehouse processes and in all logistic infrastructure objects like: logistic centre, distribution centre, transit warehouses, warehouse at production, shipping terminal, etc.

Optimisation of warehouse processes allows to:

•    increase the flexibility of warehouse processes
•    increase the speed of goods flow
•    eliminate or reduce the „bottleneck” problem
•    shorten the time of goods flow through the logistic system
•    reduce the costs in warehouse processes servicing
•    optimise the zones used while realizing single warehouse processes
•    improve the service level
