Optimisation of Warehouse Processes concerns activities connected with receiving, storing, order fullfillment and shipping of goods in magazines of all types. It allows to find and eliminate so called bottlenecks, to define the needed size of dedicated warehouse system zones (among these the size of buffers at the entrance and exit of the warehouse, the logistic centre, shipping terminal or other objects of logistic infrastructure), to define the demands of the technology used in each of the warehouse processes and the required warehouse infrastructure.  It might be also used while designing a new warehouse to define empirically the borderline capacities of the warehouse still before the project acceptance. This makes it possible to define the essential technical stock for servicing and the optimal mechanization and automatization level of warehouse processes.
